Terms of service

Terms of service for Tickwire, the hosted MT4 and MT5 execution API.

Tickwire is operated by Ighodalo Labs Ltd, a private company limited by shares registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (RC 9713283), whose registered address is 10, Ferrari Close, Alpha Grace Estate, Ibadan, Ibadan-Dugbe, Oyo State, Nigeria, 200285. These terms are between you and Ighodalo Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Tickwire you agree to them. If you use Tickwire for a company, you confirm you can bind it.

1. The service

Tickwire hosts a real MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 terminal for each trading account you connect, and gives you an API (REST and WebSocket) to read, stream and trade those accounts, directly or through software you build, including AI agents.

We are not a broker. We don’t hold your funds, we don’t execute trades on our own account, and we don’t route orders anywhere except to the broker you chose, through its own terminal.

2. No investment advice

Nothing Tickwire provides is investment, financial, tax or legal advice. We don’t recommend trades, don’t judge whether a trade is wise, and don’t ship trading rules. Any trading decision is made by you, or by software you control.

3. Your accounts: demo and real

  • You may connect only accounts you own, or are authorised in writing to operate.
  • During early access, only broker demo accounts may be connected. We’ll tell you when real-money accounts are allowed.
  • When real-money accounts are allowed, connecting one is your decision and your risk. You remain responsible for every order sent from it, including orders sent by your agents, your tools or anyone you give a key to.
  • You’re responsible for following your broker’s and any prop firm’s rules, including rules on VPS use, IP addresses, copy trading and automated trading.

4. AI agents and your guard

You may let AI agents and other automated software act on your accounts through Tickwire.

  • You’re responsible for your agents. An order your agent sends through a key you issued is your order. What your agent does, including mistakes, repeated calls and misunderstood instructions, is your responsibility.
  • You’re responsible for your guard. Tickwire can send each order to a risk or guard service you run (the “pre-trade hook”) before it is sent. The rules in that service, and whether it answers correctly, are yours. We only enforce its answer: allow, deny or hold. By default, if it doesn’t answer validly in time, the order is not sent.
  • Tickwire provides tools to limit an agent: scoped and read-only keys and kill switches. Using them is up to you. We recommend starting every new agent on a demo account with a read-only key.
  • Some of these features are in development. Until a feature is announced as available, don’t rely on it.

5. Trading risk and truthful outcomes

Trading is risky. Orders can fail, be delayed, or execute at prices other than the ones requested, because of brokers, markets, networks, MetaQuotes software or us. When we can’t determine an order’s outcome we report unknown, never a guess; you must reconcile such orders before acting again. We’re not liable for trading losses except as set out in section 12.

6. Broker credentials

We use your broker credentials only to log in the terminal for that account. They’re encrypted at rest, never shown back to you or anyone else through the API or dashboard, and never written to logs, error messages, audit records or webhooks. See Security.

7. Audit log

Every action that changes something on an account (an order, a modification, a close, a deploy) is recorded in an audit log with the time, the actor, the reason given, the request and the outcome. You can read your own audit log through the API. We keep it as described in the privacy policy and may use it to investigate disputes, abuse and incidents.

8. Subscription, fees and payment

  • Merchant of record. Payments are processed by our payment provider as merchant of record. It runs the card checkout, keeps your card and charges it. We run the subscription: we work out each charge and ask the payment provider to make it. The payment provider’s own terms apply to the payment.
  • Subscription. Tickwire is a monthly subscription in US dollars, billed per deployed account, always on the cheapest plan for your accounts and dedicated IPs together. Prices are on the pricing page. At least one account is billed while a subscription is active: $12 a month on a shared address, or $14 with an own address. Prices are before any tax. By subscribing, you allow us to charge the card you saved at checkout for each renewal and for each charge described below.
  • Free trial. New customers get a 7-day free trial, once per customer. The trial is started through our payment provider’s checkout, where you save a card. Nothing is charged during the trial, and the first charge is when it ends or when you upgrade. During the trial you can deploy 1 account, on shared egress, without a dedicated IP. If the trial ends without a successful payment, your accounts are parked straight away.
  • Upgrading, adding and removing. Service is paid for before it is used. You can deploy only as many accounts as you have paid for. To add accounts or a dedicated IP, you upgrade on the Billing page and pay first: during the trial, the upgrade ends the trial and starts a paid month; after that, the extra for the rest of the period is charged pro rata. If that charge isn’t confirmed, nothing is added. Parking or deleting an account, or removing a dedicated IP, lowers the charge from the next renewal; there is no mid-period credit, and what you’ve paid for stays usable until then.
  • Failed payments and grace. If a renewal payment fails, your accounts keep running for 3 days and no new accounts can be deployed. After that, accounts are parked: undeployed, but never deleted. They’re redeployed when the subscription is active again.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time on the Billing page of your dashboard. Nothing more is charged. Until the period ends, you can undo the cancel there with Resume subscription. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the free trial or of the period you’ve paid for, and then your accounts are parked. If you cancel after a failed payment, nothing more is collected and the grace period runs out as usual.
  • When we can’t confirm a payment. If we can’t confirm a payment with our payment provider, we treat it as unknown: new deployments are refused, and after the grace period accounts are parked.
  • Price changes. Existing subscriptions keep their prices until they move to another plan. We give at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase.

9. Dedicated IPs

A dedicated IP is not a separate add-on. On Starter, an account with its own dedicated IP is $14 a month, instead of $12 on a shared address. On Pro and Premium, dedicated IPs are included.

  • It is yours alone and is never reassigned. It has never belonged to another customer, and when you give it up it is cancelled with our hosting provider, never returned to a pool or given to anyone else.
  • If a host fails, we may move your IP to a replacement host. That’s your IP following your accounts, not a reassignment.
  • While your accounts are parked, we hold your IP for 30 days, so you come back on the same address if you pay again. After that it is cancelled and can’t be recovered.
  • We can’t guarantee that any broker or prop firm will accept an IP address or a device identity.

10. Acceptable use

You’ll follow the acceptable use policy. You may build products on Tickwire and resell access to them, including competing services.

11. Suspension and termination

You can stop at any time by undeploying or deleting your accounts and cancelling your subscription. We may suspend keys or accounts that breach these terms or put other customers at risk, with notice where we can give it. On termination we delete your broker credentials within 7 days, and other data as described in the privacy policy.

12. Liability

Except for fraud, gross negligence or anything that can’t be limited by law, our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid in those 12 months. Service credits under the SLA count towards that limit. We’re not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or the acts of your agents, your guard, your broker or MetaQuotes.

13. MetaQuotes

MetaTrader is MetaQuotes Ltd’s software. We’re not affiliated with or endorsed by MetaQuotes. MetaQuotes may change its software, terms or licensing in ways that affect the service. If that forces us to change or stop a feature, we’ll tell you as early as we can and refund prepaid fees for any period we can’t serve.

14. Changes

We’ll post changes to these terms here and email you at least 30 days before material changes take effect.

15. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes go to the courts of Nigeria.
