Who Tickwire is for
Tickwire runs a real MT4 or MT5 terminal for each of your accounts and gives you one API for both. Here is what people build on it. Pick the one that sounds like you.
AI agents and assistants
Let Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent read and trade your account, with you in control.
- Connect any app that supports remote MCP servers by signing in with Tickwire. Nothing to install.
- Choose which accounts it may use, and Look only or Look and trade for each connection.
- Each trade carries a reason, saved in the audit log. A repeated call never places a second order.
Algo traders and trading bots
Run your bot from Mac, Linux or any server, with no Windows and no VPS.
- One REST and WebSocket API for MT4 and MT5 accounts, from any language.
- Send an idempotency key with each order. A retry gets the first result back, not a second trade.
- When an order can't be confirmed, the answer is unknown, so your bot checks before it acts again.
Copy trading
Copy trades from one account to many with your own code.
- Follow the source account's positions and act on each new or closed one.
- Open a copy on up to 20 follower accounts in one call, with keys so a retry never copies twice.
- Tickwire doesn't run a copy service for you. Copy only into accounts whose owners agreed.
Prop firms and their tools
Watch equity on many accounts and act on all of them at once.
- Follow equity on many MT4 and MT5 accounts, and count trading days in broker time.
- Close positions on up to 20 accounts in one call that is safe to retry.
- Each account runs in its own terminal with its own machine identity, and can have its own dedicated IP.
Trading apps, dashboards and client portals
Show your users their balances, trades and history in your own app.
- Read balances, positions, orders and history on MT4 and MT5 accounts over REST.
- Connect with the investor password for read-only access. Then the account can't trade through Tickwire.
- Signed webhooks tell your app when an account connects or goes down, so you don't have to poll.
No-code traders with TradingView alerts
Turn TradingView alerts into trades on your MT4 or MT5 account, without writing code.
- Make a private link on your dashboard and paste it into a TradingView alert.
- Size by risk % or lots, and set stops in pips, points or R. A repeated alert never trades twice.
- It's part of the public beta and included in the plan price. TradingView sends webhooks only on a paid TradingView plan.
Your money stays with your broker
- Tickwire logs in to your account with your MetaTrader login and the broker's server name.
- With that login it reads the account and places, changes and closes trades.
- It can't deposit or withdraw. Our API has no call that moves money, and the MetaTrader trading functions we use only place, change and close trades.
- Tickwire is not a broker. Your funds stay at your broker, and money goes in or out only through your broker.
- For read-only access, connect with the investor password. Then nobody can trade on the account through Tickwire, us included.
Trades can still lose money, so test on a demo account first.
