About Tickwire

Tickwire runs a real MetaTrader 4 or 5 terminal for each trading account and puts one API in front of them. AI agents and trading tools use it to read accounts, stream prices and trade.

Why it exists

Trading software retries and repeats itself. On MetaTrader that means double orders, positions nobody knew were open, and dashboards showing "connected" for a terminal that stopped getting prices hours ago.

We built Tickwire to stop that. A retried order with the same idempotency key isn't sent twice, an order we can't confirm is reported as unknown, and every change is logged with who made it and why.

The REST API keeps the request and response shapes of the APIs existing clients call, so integrations move with a new base URL and key. See the comparisons for where others are still ahead.

How we work

Say unknown when it is unknown

If an order may have gone through, we report “unknown”. An account shows connected only when its terminal says so. Broker time is labelled as broker time, not UTC.

Mark what's ready

Where a feature isn't available yet, its page says so.

No trading rules, no advice

Tickwire checks whether a caller is allowed to trade, not whether the trade is a good idea. Your own guard sets the rules. We give no investment advice.

Broker-agnostic

Tickwire works with any broker that offers MetaTrader 4 or 5. You choose what to connect: a demo, a small funded account or a live one.

What we don't have

  • No SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar certification.
  • No uptime figure yet. We'll publish one when we have enough status history.
  • No customer logos or quotes until customers agree to be named.
  • No support for other providers' SDKs. Use the REST endpoints directly or the Tickwire SDKs.
