rate_limited

Too many requests.

HTTP 429. Nothing reached the broker.

Likely causes:

  • The per-key, per-account, per-account trade or per-IP budget is used up (metadata.bucket names it).
  • A heavy call (history, batch, stream connect) costs more than one unit.
  • Too many sandbox sign-ups from one address in an hour or a day, or from everyone in an hour (POST /v1/sandbox/signup).

What to do: Wait for Retry-After, then retry. A refused trade carries sent: false: it was not sent, so it is safe to resend. See the rate-limits page.

Retry: Yes. Nothing happened (or it was a read), so repeat it, after Retry-After when present.

Listed under Requests and validation in Errors. Send the error’s requestId to support and we can find the request.
