# Tickwire

> One API for hosted MetaTrader 4 and 5 terminals, with per-account health checks, idempotent orders, an audit log, webhooks and an MCP server for AI agents.

Tickwire runs a real MT4 or MT5 terminal for each trading account and serves it over REST and WebSocket. The same endpoints and fields work for both platforms; the few MT5-only calls return `not_supported_on_mt4` on MT4. Orders take an `Idempotency-Key`, so a retry with the same key never places a second order, and an outcome that can't be confirmed is reported as `unknown`.
