# stop_loss_required

> Signal webhook: the trade needs a stop loss and the alert has none.

HTTP 422. Nothing reached the broker.

**Likely causes:**

- require_sl or max_risk_pct is set, and there is no stop loss in the alert or the webhook's defaults.
- move_sl or tp_r without a stop loss.

**What to do:** Send sl, sl_points, sl_pips or sl_pct, or set a default stop loss on the webhook. Nothing was sent.

**Retry:** No. The same request gets the same answer; change something first.
