# invalid_scope

> OAuth (Sign in with Tickwire): the requested scope is wider than what was granted.

Source: https://tickwire.io/docs/errors/invalid_scope/

HTTP 400.

**Likely cause:** A refresh request asked for a scope the user did not grant (for example tickwire.trade on a read-only connection).

**What to do:** Refresh without scope, or ask the user to connect again with the wider access.

**Retry:** No. The same request gets the same answer; change something first.

Listed under [Sign in with Tickwire (OAuth)](https://tickwire.io/docs/errors/#sign-in-with-tickwire-oauth) in [Errors](https://tickwire.io/docs/errors/). Send the error's `requestId` to support and we can find the request.
