**Likely cause:** Something in front of the API answered instead of it, for example during a restart.

**What to do:** Repeat reads. For a trade, call `get_trade_status` with the same `idempotency_key` before sending it again.

**Retry:** Only with the same `Idempotency-Key` (or `clientId`). The first attempt may have executed; never resend a trade blindly.
